the calm before the storm.....

its a bit cold today, but the sun is peaking thru the clouds.  it is always a welcome to see the light of life breaking thru the clouds.  i wish i could harvest those beautiful rays of warmth and comfort.... i firmly believe that just about everything is better in sunlight! .......except those,.... that must be done under the cover of darkness.... *soft smile

i finished all of my wrapping today....... and i smile, as i walk throughout my abode, examining every detail of my christmas decoration i have displayed.  sadly, not many will see it this year as i leave on monday...... nonetheless, i love the chirstmas season and adore the lights and decorations of christmas!

its  a quiet afternoon......

the calm before the storm.  *smile ...   today, i travel to my older brothers home... who, with his family will be hosting a pre Christmas party for his friends and some family members.  i shared with him my recipe in cooking rib eye..... *crossing fingers.  i look forward to "good eats"!

this week has swiftly zoomed by and i will soon need to pack for our family holiday in the islands.  pray for me as i will be traveling with almost 22 people from my family ( can Y/you imagine a gathering of islanders on the same plane? ... bus?? .... etc...........)  help!

i will miss being in the main land for the next few weeks ....

1.)    my time will no longer be mine - family will come first and i will be surrounded during my stay in Kauai

2.)        i will miss the opportunity to spend time with friends in the mainland, as i have often done throughout the years........ as well as start new memories with friends who have captured my interest.

one to share....

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”
Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Love is a part of life, I know.
So is the pain and the sorrow,
along with the smiles, and the joys.
My life will be forever changed
because I loved you.

May today there be peace within.

May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun. It is there for each one of you.

Continue to be my friend, as you will always find me yours."
